The Herring, Mackerel, Capelin, Smelt, Gaspereau Module
Do you keep your fishing license active even if you can’t or don’t wish to fish? You can complete an annual inactivity report for free without needing to register for a commercial fishing module.
Are you a qualified herring gillnet fishing module user since 2018 by the Department of Fisheries and Oceans Canada? (DFO) No problem, you will be able to keep all your fishing history in the new module. Only the name of the module will change.
In 2024, a new national fishing module for small pelagics such as capelin, smelt and gaspereau as well as for herring and mackerel and for all fishing methods will be available.
Like the other fishing modules of JOBEL electronic logbook, it was specially created by fishermen for fishermen to meet the needs of these fisheries.
